Easton Z-Core Hybrid Torq 2-5/8" BBCOR Bat -3oz (2016)
MAD MAX says:
Easton has three series in 2015 in BBCOR. This bat belongs in the Z-CORE Hybrid series. This means that the bat will be two pieces. It will have an alloy barrel with a composite handle. In recent years a lot of kids prefer the feel of an alloy barrel bat in their hands. Z-CORE is technology that we saw last year. The Z-Core technology will put a Mako like the barrel on this bat. It will have an extended sweet spot and more power through the zone. Easton also took this bat to the next level. This model will have a Torq handle on it. The Torq handle has 360 degrees of rotation. This allows for your hands to come through the zone on a normal plane with the concept palm up to palm down. This is the correct form of how a player would want to swing the bat. This a major advantage and Easton take it to the next level. I have heard all the negative feedback to the Torq on how it's a gimmick, it's creating bad habits, and if you swing wood what will happen. Know this the Torq is creating great habits and muscle memory for all things you need to have in baseball.

The BBCOR formula provides a better measure of the bat's performance and therefore allows the rules committee and bat testing laboratories to better predict field performance based on lab tests. The goal is that non-wood bats that meet this new standard will perform similarly to wood bats. All BBCOR bats will incorporate a logo mark once certification approval is granted. This mark will be consistent across every approved bat design so umpires will easily identify approved bats.
At Closeout Bats we stock what we sell! We have a huge warehouse and are NOT drop shipping bats like many web sites. We update inventory and availability on the Web site several times a day as inventory positions change shipping hundreds and hundeds of bats. We also sell bats out of our physical store, so sometimes things sell out before we can get them off the Web site.
Limited quantities available. Prices subject to change without notice. Like we say, if it's on the site, it's in the warehouse -- just SOMETIMES it might have some other player's name on it! If you snooze, you lose, so ORDER YOURS NOW!
